In-School Dental Program Returns to BHK

Posted November 21, 2024

BHK Child Development, in partnership with Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center, is excited to announce a series of In-School Dental Events aimed at providing essential dental assessments for BHK students. These events will take place throughout the school year, promoting oral health awareness and ensuring that every child has the opportunity for a healthy smile. The In-School Dental Events will offer students the chance to receive comprehensive dental assessments conducted by qualified dental professionals. This initiative is designed not only to enhance the overall health and wellness of our students but also to educate them on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene from an early age. "We believe that every child deserves access to quality dental care, and these events are a crucial step in fostering a culture of health and wellness within our schools," said Katie Waara, Health Services Director at BHK Child Development. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center to make this possible."

The dental assessments will include basic screenings, consultations, and referrals for any necessary treatments, ensuring that students receive the care they need. Parents will be informed about their child’s assessment results and any recommended follow-up care. These events will be held at various BHK locations, making it convenient for students to participate without the need for additional travel. The schedule for the In-School Dental Events will be communicated to parents and guardians through school newsletters and direct outreach. BHK Child Development and Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center invite families and the community to support this initiative, as we work together to promote healthier futures for our children.
