We’re happy to share that students at BHK Child Development’s Centennial Center and our preschool classroom at Lake Linden recently took part in a special in-school dental day!

Thanks to a visit from Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center’s mobile dental bus, children were able to receive dental care right at school in a safe and familiar setting. Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center dental hygienist provided services such as oral screenings, cleanings, and tips to help kids take care of their teeth at home.

Events like this make it easier for families to access important dental care without needing to travel or miss work. It also helps children feel more comfortable with dental visits by keeping the experience positive and stress-free.

Most importantly, students learned how to keep their smiles healthy — from brushing and flossing to making tooth-friendly choices every day.

We’re grateful for our partnership with Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center for helping to support the health and well-being of our students. Healthy smiles are an important part of a child’s overall growth and confidence!
